The Cyber Installation
DESOLATE is an evolving experimental installation consisting of three rooms. Existing without the presence of the artist, the pieces are altered by the non-synchronous loops, the space itself and the people in it. Each piece takes time to experience and I encourage one to ~chill~ with my work. No two encounters will be the same.
I am interested in creating experiences that bridge a digital and physical existence. A digital anti-aesthetic in a city (Harrisburg) composed of primarily traditional art. A distortion triggered by the corruption of social media and overstimulation the internet. I juxtapose this with sound. I use frequencies, drones, and the microtones produced by the space to create a dissonant atmosphere. I use the immersive mediums of audio and video to create an environment to dwell in. I'm drawn to the idea that these installations shift and exist without the artist present, that every encounter is unique.
